Act of Faith: "The Sinner's Prayer"

[Jesus says,] "Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you..." (Revelation 3:20 NRSV)

Your first and most important act of faith is to sincerely pray this prayer:

"God, I know that I am a sinner."

"God, I know that the wages of sin is death."

"God, I have no power over my sin."

"God, I turn away from my sin,"

"God, I ask your son, Jesus Christ, to come into my life and forgive me."

"Come into my life Lord Jesus."

"Thank you God for the gift of eternal life. Amen."

"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!" (2 Corinthians 5:17 NRSV)
