Holy Hands –We’re
a different
kind of church!
We don’t have a dress code.
We serve coffee, cookies, Diet Dr. Pepper,
Mountain Dew along
with lively discussion in our Sunday (11:00am and 7:00pm) and Thursday (7:00pm)
evening Bible studies.
We sing every stanza of the hymns we sing, and we
sing loud!
But don’t let our casual atmosphere fool you.
We’re serious about our commitment to the Lord
Jesus Christ and our mission to serve as His Holy Hands. We’re so
serious about it, we don’t even have a building. Instead, we meet in
a "mother-in-law" cottage turned Chapel, and use the money we save
on rent and utilities to do God’s work.
We host and maintain the
Albany Rescue Mission
website.
We send Bibles to our troops overseas.
We send Bibles into Lee State Prison and provide
hygiene supplies to inmates who are indigent and have no families to
support them.
We purchase toys, toiletries and school supplies
and assemble Christmas boxes for Samaritan’s Purse to send to poor
children who might not otherwise receive Christmas presents.
We provide monthly boxes of groceries to several
area families in need.
We
have a team that conducts worship services in local nursing homes,
and we supplement the salary of the Lee State and Macon State Prison Chaplain (our
pastor) so that he is able to continue the crucial and might work he
does there.
First and foremost in these and all our projects
is to share the love of God and spread the Good News about Jesus
Christ our Savior.
If we can accomplish all this with only about a
dozen people, think how much more we could do with you to help
us.
If this kind of church appeals to you, please
come worship with us, and serve as one of God’s Holy hands!
